+ How to tap to pay FAQ--tap

FAQ-tap

Use this option if you are using an iPhone XS, iPhone XR, or an Android phone.

  1. Unlock your phone.
  2. Tap your phone on the tap icon on the Honk sticker. The tap icon looks like this: FAQ--tap
  3. A notification will appear on your phone prompting you to open Honk's payment page. Click on this notification.
  4. Honk's payment page will open in a browser on your phone. Pay for parking here.

If tap isn't working, double check that you have an iPhone XS / XR or Android. If you are on Android, ensure you have not manually disabled NFC.

+ How to scan QR to pay FAQ-scan

FAQ-scan

Use this option if you are using an iPhone X or below, or an Android phone.

  1. Open your iPhone camera or preferred QR reader app.
  2. Scan the QR code on the Honk sticker, which looks like this: FAQ-scan
  3. A notification will appear on your phone prompting you to open Honk's payment page. Click on this notification.
  4. Honk's payment page will open in a browser on your phone. Pay for parking here.

+ Do I need to display a ticket on my car dashboard?

When you pay for parking with Honk, there is no need for a physical parking ticket. Honk’s system will transmit your vehicle’s license plate to the parking enforcement system and parking enforcement officers will know that your vehicle’s parking has been paid for.
